Riviera is a traveler across time and space. One hundred years after its emergence in England, Swiss Typefaces have reimagined the early humanist sans and made it fit for contemporary use. Many of the key characteristics have been maintained, like the high-center ‘M’ or the vertically cut strokes in ‘ace’. The quintessential English letter has been infused with a Swiss sense of style. Laid-back yet dressed to kill, a unique mix that is commonly found on the waterfront of Lake Leman. Riviera is distinguished through strongly modulated joins in ‘bdpq’ or ‘mnu’. The widths are less varied, sporting a wider ‘G’ and a narrower ‘W’. Glyphs with diagonals add extra sparkle by flashing their sharp vertices. Originally launched in our Lab in a single style only, Riviera has matured. It’s now available as a full Collection in twelve weights, from Ultralight to Black – a magnificent typeface ready to elevate your designs.
